After the completion of an extensive testing program, including injectivity and a multiple days pump test, the KOC-02 well has proved to be even a better commercial discovery than initially expected.

With flows over 100 l/s and temperatures in excess of 120 degrees Celsius, Transmark will commence with development of the area by drilling KOC-03 well. KOC-03 is planned to the same depths and aims to hit the same carbonate reservoir. Transmark will start constructing the first power production module and further develop the area by a continuous drilling program. The initial discussions with the ORC power plant manufacturers have been initiated.

The KOC II well was drilled to a depth of 2542m encountering over 400m of marble reservoir section. Transmark Services managed the project with supply of Gerry II drilling rig and auxiliary services. Global best practices were used to limit damage to reservoir permeability during drilling. These techniques have delivered very strong flowrates during test with well head temperatures more than capable of supporting economics for power plant development.
