German drilling and energy company Daldrup & Söhne AG together with its daughter company Geysir Europe GmbH is currently considering to increase its stake in geox GmbH, the operating company for the geothermal power plant in Landau, Germany.
Daldrup is in talks with utility Pfalzwerke AG, which holds 50 percent of geox at this point in time. In August 2013, Geysir Europe bought a 40 percent stake from Energie Südwest AG, which currently still owns 10 percent of the shares in the company.
It is expected that the time plan for the planned third well will be made public after the talks with Pfalzwerke AG. The third well is to secure current operations and increase the overall economics of the power plant.
