Enel Green Power secures $100million for energy development in Chile
Enel Latin America a subsidiary of Italian Enel Green Power has secured funding of $100 million from Chilean Banco de Crédito e Inversiones, for energy projects in Chile.
Announced earlier this month, Enel Latin America, subsidiary of Italian renewable energy utility and developer Enel Green Power has secured funding of US$100 million from Chile’s Banco de Crédito e Inversiones to develop energy projects in Chile.
The five-year loan will be disbursed at the end of 2013, according to a company press release.
The company is running and development wind projects in Chile, but also holds a majority stake ( 51%) in the country’s most advanced geothermal ventures, the 50MW Cerro Pabellón (Apacheta) project developed by Geotérmica del Norte, a JV with state oil company Enap (44%) and state copper giant Codelco (5%).”
