The European geothermal energy industry will gather in June for the “European Geothermal Congress 2013”. The event that will be held from June 3-7, 2013 in Pisa, Italy has been a somewhat regular event and was held last 2007 in Unterhaching, Germany.

A five day event bringing together the entire geothermal sector, examining both technological and socio-economic issues. Three days of conference and exhibition, with ISS short courses and conferences of EU-supported projects (Groundmed, Geoelec and Thermomap) running alongside.

EGC 2013 is a joint event, organised by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) under the auspices of the European Regional Branch of the International Geothermal Association IGA (IGA-ERB), and in cooperation with the national Italian Geothermal Association (UGI)

The congress will highlight all areas of geothermal energy use, from very shallow systems to deep drillings and high-enthalpy fields. An exhibition for geothermal equipment, services, etc. will be held in parallel with the congress.
