Scientific Drilling appoints Senior VP and Chief Procurement Officer
Scientific Drilling International (SDI), the largest independent directional drilling and wellbore placement service provider, announces the addition of Eric Beylier as the Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer.
In a release today, Scientific Drilling International, the largest independent directional drilling and wellbore placement service provider, announces the addition of Eric Beylier as the Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer.
Based at Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX, Beylier will oversee all strategic supply chain, procurement and logistics activities. “We are excited to add Eric Beylier to our leadership team. The experience and skillset he brings will be invaluable as we optimize our supply chain and continue to improve upon our industry leading product quality and reliability.” said SDI CEO, Phil Longorio.
Beylier previously served as CPO and Head of Global Supply Chain and Procurement at TETRA Technologies, Inc. where he designed and built a brand new supply chain and procurement function and organization to match global best practices. Prior to his work with TETRA, he started two companies in San Francisco, first as a co-founder of a software company focused on the $3 trillion construction market supply chain, and secondly as founder and CEO of a consulting company in San Francisco, where he lead large multi-billion supply chain and procurement projects for Chevron, the Gap Inc. and HP.
He started his career as a Sales Engineer for a global specialty chemical company based in Europe, and developed advanced strategic sourcing and category management expertise at A.T. Kearney. Beylier has a M.S. in Chemical Manufacturing from Polytechnic ESCOM in Paris, France, with a specialization in material science from M.I.T. in Boston, USA. He also holds a M.B.A. from the Anderson School at U.C.L.A.
