The Philippine Stock Exchange is looking at easing its listing and disclosure rules for petroleum and renewable energy firms, to grow the exchange.

Reported by Reuters this week, The Philippine Stock Exchange is looking at easing its listing and disclosure rules for petroleum and renewable energy firms. As this sector is seen as a growth driver for the exchange.

“Among the proposals is a relaxation of the one-year operating history requirement for such companies seeking to list on the PSE’s second board. The PSE is seeking public comments by June 30 on the proposals, which are on its website.

“We hope that with the easing of the listing and disclosure requirements for petroleum and renewable energy companies, the market would be able to tap investment opportunities in petroleum projects in Palawan as well as hydropower and geothermal sources in the country,” PSE President and CEO Hans Sicat said.”
